The Alliance to Save America’s 340B Program (ASAP 340B) is proud to welcome the NAACP to the coalition, joining a group of over 40 organizations dedicated to ensuring that the 340B program is supporting true safety-net providers and the communities they serve.

“We are very pleased to join ASAP 340B and stand alongside other organizations that are committed to restoring the 340B program to its original intent – serving patients,” said Lisa Bland Malone, Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs at the NAACP. "340B is a critical resource designed to help low-income and underserved communities access life-saving medications and care, and it’s important to ensure the program is able to stay true to that goal.”

By joining ASAP 340B, the NAACP reinforces its longstanding commitment to health equity and supporting marginalized communities. The NAACP looks forward to working with other coalition members to advocate for comprehensive federal reform of the program.

“We are thrilled to announce ASAP 340B’s partnership with the NAACP,” said Thomas Johnson, Executive Director of ASAP 340B. “As the nation’s largest and most widely recognized civil rights association, the NAACP provides a critical voice to elevate issues of injustice everywhere, and we are proud to have them join us in the fight to ensure the long-term viability of a program dedicated to improving access to health care for the underserved.”
